The New Site

Ok... obviously it's up!

You'll notice that at /drupal/ is the new main page. I've customized it some, but we can do more.

I've enabled 3 themes:
- Cleanblue
- Greenie
- Curves

Check them out and see which you like. For now we can keep all 3 but long term maint is a nightmare. For example, CleanBlue menu for VB Image Host doens't work like the others.

Anyway, you'll also notice a "My Blog" link... have at it. I'll install a WYSIWYG editor for the blogs as soon as I can.

Shoutbox as moved from the forum to the main page.

Not all the main page blocks show up when you're on a page besides the front page. This is intentional.

If we want to keep Curves and Greenie we could use new logos. My image skills are lacking. We could do cleanblue too, but they were nice enough to provide the psd so i could change it easy enough.

There are a few pages that lack the drupal menu. If you see more, post and I'll work on the templates:
- Unauthorized to access something (My Images, for example)
- New Posts

Questions:
- How do we want to handle a gallery--we can integrate Gallery more directly with vBDrupal, we can trash the mostly-ignored Gallery and just use vBImage Host, or...? If we go with Gallery, do we want to k eep vBImage host because it's probably quicker when you want to insert images into posts?

What do you guys think?

there is a mouse-over preview if you hover over the link. it doesn't work in CleanBlue.

going to have to hack the code to show last post user... so shelving it for the very short term.

Mayhaps it will have to be explained how to use the Image Gallery, and the abililty to post those images in the blogs...

I bumbled my way through, though I am lucky enough to be able to do some rudimentary html coding... the insert photo in the blogs is very unintuitive, or I am just too tired to understand it at the mo.

You've disabled the "Recent Blog Posts" on the left menu--the recent blogs in the middle is not disable-able as that is where new stuff just goes (blog posts, pages, stories, etc.).

Shoutbox... not sure. you have hidden the content but the bar is there. will have to look into that.

I just disabled the Shoutbox and got no error and the box is gone.
