I have screen shots of you getting the boot

His IP is hidden and when I tried to join his channel, my TS crashed to desktop

I am not an admin or i would ban him

Roland put the ban on him with his Administrator's Vengeful Beatstick.

People always said that Teamspeak was hackable, but I'm kind of confused by this.
Its important that we lock down permissions -- REMOVING the ability for unregistered users to create channels. It is possible to hide your name from public view with a patched copy of TS, allowing you roam around the server and freak people out. (Of course, it'd be great to give Registered users the ability to create channels... *cough* (http://vsfgamers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21727))

As far as I know, though, the only real vulnerability is that TeamSpeak can be logged into by Telnet, allowing for a much easier way of bruteforcing insecure passwords. Any of our admins who feel that their password could have been compromised should probably seek help.

Sure Zine, but think about it, Chaly's TS server has been up how long? And how often has its being vulnerable been a real point of trouble? Not many, so though it's hackable, it's not a big deal.

The far greater problem within our community is Hobbit's signature(s) no question aboot [sic] that.

I know, but it's not that much work to go into the admin panel, tick one box, untick another, and click save. Us Registered users without serveradmin would appreciate it. :D

=) Well poo on me for having fun!

Seriously though if there some kind of bandwidth issue or something, I can tweak it.

Roland got him. Unregistered users are now unable to do anything but join the channels. If they want to do more, they'll have to register. Nice work, Roland. ;)

Currently running server version 2.0.24.1. According to TeamSpeak, that's the latest version to date.
