Steam or Retail Box for ET:QW?

Any difference in getting ETQW through Steam, or buying the retail box? I saw someone mentioning something about Steam buddy lists or somethin'...? (Only thing I've ever used Steam for is single player Half Life)

Steam is running a 20% discount on it this weekend, and I need something to test out my new 22" widescreen. This looks like it could be a blast. Thoughts?

While I'm asking, anyone else have any issues running it in widescreen? From reading their forums, it looks like it works fine, but it's always nice to hear from people you trust...especially after trying to get BF2 to work tonight.

bf2 will work in widescreen you have to edit your shortcut.........as far as etqw goes, when it was in beta it supported widescreen ratios, not sure about the final product.

I thought you were playing last night or there was a bot with a similar name?

Anyway, it supports 1680x1050 and 16:10 in game for my 22 ws monitor so if your native res is near that you will be fine :)
