Skins are not hard to do badly. They are ok to do ok. And they can be a pain to do nicely.

The skins we have now are the result of me goofing around with them... but not that much effort, to be honest.

I'd really like to see someone pick some, have a vote or whatever, and someone really make sure it integrates well with our layout, graphics, etc...

Just my $.02. When the dust settles I can set up a dev board where we can try out new skins/plugins/mods... it's allowed in our license.

What's up with vBulletin.org you can't even look at a large screenshot with out having to prove that you own VB?

Do we have a generic account that is linked to our purchased vb that we can use to see the larger screenies?

They are very very restrictive on their stuff.. it's actually annoying. I have the account... I think I'm restricted from sharing it or something, but give me a week(ish) and I'll get a dev site set up, and can then just D/L and install skins, and I will make more people full admins on the dev board for modifying the skins (you can manage pretty much all of it from the web interface). We'll figure it out. :D

Although I've seen much harsher comments in here before, I'll remove it since it offends you.

Well, since you've got it quoted...I can't remove it completely.

The default skin has way too much wasted white space around the modules. Is there a way to modify the skin to decrease the padding around the modules?

there are a lot of good skins out there. once we get the dev boards it will be fun to go through and get some of them and start testing them out.
