If this isn't the right forum for this post then by all means some forum admin delete the freaking thing.

A forum member was accused of using a supply crate hack when playing on the vanilla BF2 server last night. The thread is in the BF2 forum. In my reply to that thread I pointed out that the hack, as I've read about it, allows the user to assume command, even if there is another commander already, and rain down supply crates at will.

Apparently both....
There is a hack out there that allows this and some other things as well. But, there's supposedly also a "glitch" or "exploit" in the game that allows this ability.

That explains the seemingly inordinate number of supply crates I've noticed recently.

This would be the right place to put the thread (but don't go into details as far as how to use them). And I've noticed the crates hanging around all over the place, but hadn't made the connection. Policy on using exploits is still the same, I assume? Kick, then ban for repeat offenders?
And VSF'ers (new guys, I mean, because the older ones should damn well know better) are going to be held to a higher standard. You screw up like this, it makes us all look bad. Zero tolerance from anyone on the TS crowd, I can assure that.

Anyone who uses an exploit should be banned. Anyone who actually tries to pretend they didn't know it was WRONG to use such an exploit should be removed from the gene pool by any means necessary.

I am aware that VSF runs PB - which would have prevented me from running hacks/cracks. It could have been lag that prevent a crate from falling at the right time and had giving the effect of multipul falling crates. There was one crate that their commandar dropped...maybe out to get me or just thought it would be funny. I can assure you that I use on cracks/hacks.

This is my second online game, besides Guild Wars, so, keeping in mind I know what a hack is, I have not attempted to google for one, or use 3rd party software to find myself one. I am aware that any cracks of the kinds are strictly prohibited. Cracks/hacks are for stupid games like Diablo.
