I was kinda shocked at this, as ONE of the two (who shall remain nameless, at this point) was a fellow VSFer.

I was defending the Fuel Farm in a hummer. I was the squad leader and had a very organized squad that was paying dearly for a team that was not doing much of anything except spawning, stealing all of the vehicles, race off, die....repeat.

Since we were DEFENDing (and that was the name of the squad) the area, we were mostly just sitting still. I was in a humvee and was getting tired of the noobs sprinting over and taking off with MY humvee (even as I was shooting at an incoming helo :very mad: ). So, whenever I saw one of these smacktards running towards me, I would simply switch to the driver's seat and wait till they lost patience (usually all of about 10 seconds  ) and they would leave...looking for something else to steal.

Well, THIS time was different. The, um, VSFer, was saying things to the effect of "why are you just sitting here?" and shooting the humvee and the ground around it. But the OTHER :kh: was shooting ME! He eventually TKed me, stole the humvee, and they both drove off.

HIS name was "GOA_Tenko{ARMY}".

He needs a TIME OUT, if you asked me. :x

As for the VSFer, I'm ashamed that he would act like that...all he did was encourage the OTHER one to be even MORE of a :kh: . If we want a better caliber players, we have to act better. :|

That is all.....

I'm going to venture a guess that this was not a veteran member? I say, call him out on it, veteran or no. But I've got a couple of guesses as to whom it might be. That aside, now, with the ability to add tags as easy as one-two-three, expect this kind of behavior to pop up every now and again. Guys who've joined the forums a week ago are now sporting the tags. Since there's no kind of 'tag police' or a minimum standard, there will be some who can throw the tags on from the git'go and act like asses, trashing our 'image' and get off scott free unless they get caught by a reg. Welcome to being the gamer equivalent of PBS.

Let's just say that this person has OVER 1000 posts here. Veteran or not, that type of action is against the rules. I could've let his actions slide except that he was doing it right in front of another non-reg player that just followed his lead. :|

OD, have you pm'd the member? I'm not saying you should or should not call him out publicly, that's your call, but a PM might be a good idea so you can talk it out.

btw, OD was upgraded to 10 PB points last week, he has the ability to kick players all on his own; sorry man, didn't get around to notifying you earlier. Please read up on the how to apply your PB points against players in the sticky thread in the BF2 section.

I had a n00b steal my buggie twice in a row the other night... I proceeded to call him a nincompoop in global chat. I would have kicked him after the second time, but I was thwarted by the presence of someone with greater bot fu than mine.

I feel your pain, brutha.

Color me confused by this....you guys KICK people for stealing your ride....isn't that a little extreme. I 've had that happen many a time when i played BF2 AND it's happening when i'm playing CoD lately. Fine take the ride, i'll walk or find another one. Yes, it's annoying, but kicking someone because of this. It's like people taking off in a jeep or plane by themselves, annoying but that's about it. Actually i love the geniuses on CoD that shoot the jeep requesting a ride....i hop out and walk instead of getting in there with them.

 Much as I may want to kick a meathead for driving off in a vehicle somebody else is using as a mobile defense platform, I don't believe I've seen anybody do so. And I'd be kind of appalled if somebody actually did it. I think MASH was just venting.

I guess I didn't give enough information...

MASH: *sitting on .50 defending flag
n00b: *hops into drivers seat and drives away
MASH: *ignores original transgression, grabs another one, and defends again
n00b: *hops into drivers seat and drives away, despite my team chats of "No way man! Negative!"
MASH: "Yo dude... what is the deal with stealing my buggy?"
n00b: "u wrnt dr1vi|\|g i7!"
MASH: "Ummmm... I was defending this flag from bad guys"
n00b: "STFU b00n! j00r p00 sm3ll r teh l0s3!!1!1!!1"

Read everything more closely, you'll see that in both cases the nincompoops were not kicked. Though both members wished it.

It's even worse when you're using the .50 and they load up your jeep with C4 before driving away. That happened to me last night. I got out.
So did the DC devs have any input at all into BF2? I liked the "can't enter an occupied driverless vehicle" system.

sorry lost translation while tring get around that i screwed up last night.

simply, i was tring to figure out what OD was doing(i saw no threat, i was easily driving a Humvee earlier and not even a single shot fired at me) and because he wasnt responding i figured that he was AFK and eventually decided to hoof it.

need more english in that?

Wow. That's almost as annoying as snipers who go prone right in front of me, while I'm already scoping the area. The temptation to :melee: is just too great.
