red tag bug

drives me nuts and happens everyday I play to at least a couple people. Anyone know where we can shoot an email to report this? If we all take 10 minutes to send an email, and they get 50 or so in a short time, maybe EA will address it.

i got a nice one on hulka last night .... he was in a jet i was in the stinger. he had the red tag showed on my map as a bad guy jet i got missile lock and every thing on his jet fired and got team vehical damg :(

yup, and when teams are that out of whack, honestly, you're best of quitting and coming back, as more than just Grond would be appearing red to you.

Curiousity:
Who is bugged here? Grond or Naz? I know Grond shows incorrect team so I would assume he is bugged but you say Naz should relog?

I think Grond is bugged. When people have a red tag, usually others can see him as red also.

It's possible there are two bugs, one that makes you red, one that makes you see red, and they both have to happen for it to be a problem.

I'm of the camp that the bug is really more a problem of the one seeing the playing in red, Naz in this case, as not everyone sees the red player, Grond, as red in these instances.

True, you really get a crap load of this if you're on the server after a crash, prior to the 10 player mininum for a game start. People will log on, leave, more will arrive, leave, the population hovering just below 10 with players switching sides alot, then, once it reaches 10 and jumps quickly to 40, you have people saying teams are off 28-12 and such. It seems the engine really can't keep up with the team switches and all.

Dave, There might be another bug. During that Gulf of Omen map where you guys won after taking all the maps, you were on the MEC side right? You were tagged BLUE instead of red which was kind of odd. There was a specific time where you and naz were going after the hotel map and I was sniping from the top of the hotel only to see Naz's name in Red and yours in Blue (he was in a tank and you were following behind).

last night, angry kid got the bug. He showed up as Blue, was listed on my team under the score chart, and was in fact, on the other team. This led to him having one of his best games ever, as many members of my team approached his tank looking for a ride, just to get killed by him. The system log read that it was a TK, but his score increased w/ every "TK" he committed. It really was a turkey shoot, we had no idea he was on the other team, and we kept trying to help him. An example of how the bug can help an individual, but be completely unfair to the opposing team.

I wasn't helping my team mates out either -- I obviously had a total-reverse bug; I was red to my team as I was TKed continually for the duration of the map. Kenny must've killed me 3-4 times alone.

And, FWIW, I've had much better games.

nope never encountered either bug, the real threat(assuming here) is that this BLUED
character can go UBER stealth if he chose to use that bug efficently. or kill others without
being caught(well someone would figure it out), i wonder who would brave
killing someone that appears on your team?

I had the "pleasure" of seeing this one the other night. I am defending with my APC, and I see Final (blue) crest the hill above me. I think "Cool, he can spot for badguys!". Then he drops a SMAW on me. I scream in TS "Final! Dude! It's me!". Then he drops another one. BOOM!

It was even worse for him, as not only could I see his bright blue tag from a mile away, I could see him coming on my mini-map as well. I felt bad for killing him this way. I still did it, mind you, but I felt bad about it.
