i like the little dot better than a wheel, especially a tilt-wheel *shudders*. its genius to put a J-key laptop mouse inside a normal mouse! :lol:

still, $50 seem steep for a wired mouse...

that's actually cheap for an apple mouse... seriously, scary as that is.

but yeah still expensive.

I used to do this (http://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/hardware/dissect.ars) to my toys when I was a kid. Sometimes I even got them back together again.

I checked one out in the apple store yesterday...i'm farily disappointed in apple. i expect more from them. the top non-wheel thing (it's a ball) feels cheap as hell, though the left/right scrolling on it is neat. the right/left click on the solid top are cool, but the squeeze is just two buttons positioned near the top, much like my kensington.

overall, very disappointed. it just feels cheap. however they were sold out in 1 hour of receipt so i guess not everyone feels the same.

well, don't think that means much: my friend in town here went out to buy one (without calling ahead) and they said they sold out of the 8 that they received in their shipment....
