Drinks!

I'm no bartender - not really a big consumer of alcohol. But I would like a couple of easy to blend drinks that are cool in the summer.

the margarita.....often imitated , but never duplicated...

tequila(lots)..triple sec (1/4 of tequila used)....1 egg white....pinch of coarse salt , lime juice (bar mix powder easy to find) ice and blend...find a hammock and say goodnight.... :D

1/2 tropicana twister strawberry banana

Easy? well, not so much. But good summer fun for the party.


10 lemons, 10 limes, 3 cups sugar, lot of ice, more vodka (buy decent vodka), ice and 1 big glass jug (1.5-2 gallon). Glass is just more fun, it can be anything. I usually use a sun tea jug with a dispenser as it makes life easier later on. ;)

Slice lemons/limes. Put about 1/2 in the glas jug.
Pour in 1/2 sugar and pack about 1/2 full with ice.
put in rest of lemons/limes and sugar.
Fill about 3/4 with ice.
Top off with vodka. Should take more than 1000ml.

Close lid tight and shake until your arms fall off. Then hand it to someone else and make them do the same. Best to wrap with a towel as it will get VERY cold on the hands.

Take keys away and serve.

Not your sipping drink. This is to get everyone at the party loaded.

When you run out, you can repack with ice/sugar/vodka and shake again. Repeat until no one is left.

Easy blended drinks. (call them what you will)

1 pack unsweetened coolaide in your favorite flavor.
recommended amount of sugar (1 cup I think)
enough ice to fill blender 3/4 full.
Vodka

Fill blender 3/4 with ice cubes
put in coolaide and sugar
pour in enough vodka to cover the ice. (you will likely have to adjust as size of blenders vary)

Blend until smooth but not liquid. (slushy consistency)

Drink. Carefull for brain freeze.

Bacardi Mojito

1.5 oz BACARDI Rum
12 fresh spearmint leaves
1/2 lime
7 oz club soda
2 tbsp. simple syrup
(or 4 tsp. sugar)

Gently crush mint leaves and lightly squeeze lime in a cool tall glass. Pour sweet syrup on top to cover and fill glass with ice. Add Bacardi Rum, club soda, and stir your emerging mojito well. Garnish with a lime wedge, a few sprigs of mint.

Stolen blatantly from the link above. Wife loves them. I've had a few and they're good (real good), but you don't realize how quickly they go down.

Here's a blend for you. Ice chips in a vodka sauce.


What about this, Mr. Fruity. Freeze some cranberry juice in the ice cube trays...crush them up and pour, yes, once again, chilled vodka in it.

Nothing like a thread for summertime alcohol to get this room moving along.
And yes - hell yes I want to use my blender. I want the ice chopped up nice and smooth. I want the legs on my woman to be smooth and fine. I want the sun to be hot and bright. I want all my rowdy friends to come over and party.
