Sorry, just didn't feel like a WoW section w/o someone calling to nerf something after getting beat in PvP. ;)

Actually, was wondering how y'all in VSF (guild) wanted to handle things such as farming, skills, recruiting (if any), etc...

I'll put my .02 in.

Handle your char like you would solo. If someone needs help with a quest or some raw materials and you can provide, try to help them out. We're all friends (even though just online but...) so I don't foresee any problems here.

As for recruiting, I'd suggest it stay mostly VSF'ers. Yes, we have a couple non-vsf members already. I have no problem with that. They helped us get the charter signed. Plus they are really quiet when they are on.

I don't think we need much in the way of structure as this is an "alt" for most of us. Just thought I'd phish for some opinions.

Oh yeah, red shirts, I'm handing them out. Catch me in game. Blame ignus, he wanted a red shirt b/c he's brown. :)

I dunno about limiting it to VSF folks... frankly, I see it as no different than recruiting in other games. If we find people we like and their play style gels with us, there is no reason not to invite them into the guild, point them here, and so on. It is VSFgamers after all... not VSFFPSgamers. That does not mean invite any and all - but if they are interested enough to ask or we are interested enough to invite, it seems ok to me...

As far as providing goods and materials to guildmates... this should be voluntary and not expected. Its situational and I trust people to do things sensibly. As we rise in levels, we may come across plans for professions other than our own. It is in the everyone's best interest if our members can create rare items. But some of these plans are quite lucratice to sell. In that case, I think the person getting the 'gift' of a plan should profer some sort of tip as a finder's fee. Maybe nothing more than the first item created - for use or for sale. Just a thought to serve as a guideline - I would like to avoid making 'rules'...

well ive been sending kaga any linen i find so that he can make us shirts and bags. i'd appreciate any thin kodo leather you might stumble across, as its a huge PITA to farm kodos >< ive been making a ton of +8 armor kits just for leatherworking xp, and mailing them out to guildies. msg me if you need some.

i dont think we should limit it to VSFers only either. Lachish was just a guy Bok was grouping with, and he turned out to be a really nice guy. he even said he's gonna reg on the forums tonight prolly. if we want to enrich the VSF MMORPG group, we're gonna need more than the 10 of us WoW/EQ2'ers to do it...

Yeah, as a general rule, anyone who provides me with anything gets something in return. Unfortunately, I can't always turn around and provide it ASAP but I will.

Pretty much everyone that has sent me anything has gotten bags and/or shirts by now, I think. If not, please speak up. I'll make more. I'm all about returning the favor(s) especially within the guild.

As for cash, I'll probably be making another alt to do mining and herbology to gather and sell crap at AH. Raw materials seem to sell well.

If anyone has profession needs that they either have a hard time getting or can't get b/c it is outside their skills, speak up. Someone will likely be able to feed it to you. Again, if you need cash, sell your stuff don't send it to me or whomever.

a i agree i think that doing it the way we have for the last few years in the other games that we have played would be just fine i woulda say they should have skills but then i would be out hehe. anyway none of us would be here if it was not for another reg. weather invted by one or it was the game you palyed we all came for the pepole here. i belive that will continue. we have so far had good choices in the crowd that is here (outside of ignus ) :D

so just to restate what dawg and kaga have said there should be no rules outside of what we already adhere to here.

Have I missed anyone with bags or shirts? Speak up. I didn't write anything down and my memory for such things was killed many years ago.

I tried to send shirts and bags to everyone.

Also, I can work with wool, just can't farm any yet. :) Having you people send me stuff got me up to 75 real quick. Anyway, few more tailoring XP and I'll be able to make 8 slot bags.

Anyone else in need of resources other than Ignus? I'm more than happy to return the favor where I can. Sadly, most of the other gathering materials require skills to do it.

I'd recommend taking up First Aid, especially for a warrior. You'll use the various cloth drops to make bandages, which are a good compliment to healing potions. Bandages can also be used on others, and you can sell any excess (generally for a little less than what the cloth would've fetched).

Bandages are on a timer, but it is a different one than potions. As you get higher in level, food and bandages will be a godsend!

Ok, I know you are on ET, but what faction, and names!!

I have to really low (maybe lvl 4 or 5) charachters on it but I dont know your names. I like Alliance over Horde, but I might sacrifice that to play with u n00bs.

You can also join the VSF channel till some one gets you invited to the guild.

As far as aliance goes I plan to make an aliance toon after I get to 20 or so with my Rogue.

Which brings up a good question, can an aliance be in the guild?

Don't think you can cross factions for anything like that. One cannot group with an opposing faction so...
