ok, for those who don't know, we started the VSF guild on Eldre'Thalas (sp?) last night. this topic is for guild discussions :)

pretty much any VSFer in the guild is automatically an 'ubersoldat', which is the 2nd highest rank. i think we have everyone but Dawg so far, so try to invite him if you see him.

are we gonna have the same rules as here? or just the don't be a real jerk and help eachother out?
Tabbards are 10 g to design and 1g to buy one. Plus I think Ignus can make normal shirts so we can look all fancy schmancy!

and /join vsf to join the vsf channel before you get into the guild. that way we can invite you!

Don't worry about tabbards for a while. Below lvl 20 or so, it's kind of expensive just to look cool.

for now i think Kaga is making red shirts for everyone which will be our unofficial tabards for now.

FWIW - One of the charter members (utalia) dropped out last night while I was on. Probably had a better offer. :)

I would suggest that WE level up a little before recruiting. Not saying we have to get to level 40 or anything. It's just not easy to recruit good people at lvl 2. ;)

Again, I agree with Dawg that there shouldn't be any hard and fast rules with the exception os sending me all green/blue items. :D

We're having a grand old time.

Everyone is still low teens. My main char is on another server. So far, I'm playing that one as much as the VSF one.

And as for hard and fast rules for recuiting or promoting, I would avoid it. I see it more as a comfort level/familiarity with the given player than a level requirement. However, I think a decent guideline would be every 10 levels or something.

Hmm.. early levels are definately not as important as upper levels. I think promotion is more related to your first point - comfort level and familiarity. If they hop on here they drastically increase their familiarity level as well. Heck, join the forums, make a post, get a promotion! :P

Not saying we should blast people with those annoying "JOIN VSF" type messages that drive people nuts, just that if you group with someone that is helpful and fun, invite them in.


I think if we do invite more, it would be helpful to drop a note here as to who invited them. Just so we know who to blame later. ;)

Invite them to guild, point out the forums and we'll go from there. I think this type of game has a potential for bringing in a few good VSF site members.

also i think we should give a red shirt to anyone who joins (kaga im pointing at you ;)), and a squirrel to all who want one (especially if they provide the materials).

I think I will have to pass on the squirrel pet though. Its not that I don't like the idea... its just that it is my experience that I never have enough bag space, no matter how large the bags. To suffer the loss of one slot to a squirrel.. *shakes head* I just can't do it..

Elder Thalas is a PvE realm if you create a new toon on Elder join the VSF channel and we can invite you into the guild.

We have a fairly high level tailor and alchemist, Shmee.
Leather working, ignus
Mining and eng, Fennel (naz)
Enchanter, kaga

I don't think we have a black smith.
As for classes, I don't think we have a hunter. Also, I'm the only priest and I'm kind of high lvl for some of the new guys starting out. But play your preferred roles/class. It's so much more fun that way. You can always hunt down someone willing to group if needed.

I think we have all the professions covered so I would train in what ever you find fun/interesting.

I would also say the same for your class, play what you find fun.

:D i answered Ganymeda (actually an alt for Ganymeda, but the name escapes me atm) who was advertising for VSF guild. i decided to look around the web site, which has strongly influenced my decision and i would like to join this guild if u'll have me :?: my main is Rok a 31st lvl shammy (cow), my second highest lvl (hoard) is 12th lvl fighter (corpus mortis). it seems to me that you have a lot of fun and enjoy each other's company :P i already have a tabard from my previous guild, which desolved after the leader hopped over to another guild. i found out it was gone when i noticed i was now the leader 8O (and highest lvl, which was 25 at the time) of said guild. sad really... i immediately bailed :wink: well, enough talk. i am going to contact Ganymeda and try to enlist in VSF if possible. hope to c u soon :D

i think the players in your level range are Fence, Eyebiter, Perna and 1 or 2 more that i can't think of right yet. and of course us higher level folk will help the lower ones most of the time :)

It's a lot of fun dude, buy it! The tough choice is which realm to start your gameplay. A lot of us are on Eldre Thalas, some on Zul'jin, and some on Cenarion Circle (?) I think. You can't go wrong which you choose I'd think cause everyone will be helpful and might send you a few free bags too! :D

EDIT:nevermid can't play, not today. You may not know but I can't use a credit card so I have to buy those time-cards but apperantly I need one of those cards in order to play at all, I assumed that you can at least play the free month you get with the game, but you have to buy more time before you can even think about using your free month, god I hate Blizzard.
