So, what are you all playing as your main and what alts do y'all have.

'splain why.

(everything horde)
Me, I'm playing Undead Priest (Duschain) as my main. I kind of like the challenge. It's a hard class to solo up. I have good heals and such if I can get them off. Groups will love me when I become a little more powerfull. I do OK now but Bok can kill a LOT faster than I with his Rogue a couple levels lower than me. I also have a difficult time soloing mobs more than one level above me or more than one mob at a time. (spell interrupts) Getting some interesting and usefull spells like shields and such that will help. Armor class is for crap too.

I also have a 14 Tauren Druid that I will probably continue to play a little. Just got Bear Form, so it is becoming interesting.

Started a Warlock, didn't like it.

Will probably try a melee class in the future after I get my main up a ways.

Started a druid on alliance side but got yelled at. :) (only went 2 levels anyway)

Level 45 Human Warrior on Earthen Ring.
- I selected Earthen Ring because some friend recommended it. It was relatively local (VA) so I would get a good ping. Its also an RP server and these tend to attract more mature players (though that is a broad generality). I selected Warrior because I figured it would pretty simple to play because I've never played a MMORPG before. I have since discovered that Warrior is considered the most difficult class to play - usually described as 'playing the game on hard.' Oops! But I enjoy it.

Level 7 Dward Hunter on Earthen Ring.
- Just wanted to try something different. I don't know if I will play this alt much.

Level 9 Troll Rogue on Kel'Thezad
- One of our friends wants to find out how well an organized party does on a PvP. He has a high level character on the server but started a new one to party with us. He has some pretty miserable stories of high level enemy ganking him randomly in the field. In my mind, that is pretty cheap. What do you prove when you waste a character 10 levels below you? Anyway, he wants to see if a competent party can manuever safely and avoid this kind of annoyance on a PvP server. Hopefully, the experiment works.. :)

Rupertmac L48 Dwarf Hunter (Tichondrius server) Basically, I wanted to play around with a pet. I had played Alliance and Horde warrior types through the various stress tests, and wanted to try a more 'complicated' class. Hunters are very solo-friendly; I was killing mobs 2-3 lvls higher than me early on, but the reasonable disparity has lessened at higher levels. PvP can be a nightmare, however. Once a rogue shanks me in the back, I fold like a house of cards (my talent points are not allocated to melee, either). Because I never 'jump' enemy players when the situational advantage is mine, most of my PvP experience is pretty negative. I have become pretty canny at avoiding PvP, and the sense of risk is thrilling. I think I will miss exploring some of the other sides' higher level areas that I never reached in Beta.
Dawg, good luck with your experiment. Rogues are pretty much despised in the PvP setting (because they're so good at it, natch), and many players consider them KOS (Kill On Sight). All the 'hard-core' kewl doodz play Undead rogues for their fear-dispelling racial ability, and further sully the classes reputation. These factors should make things very exciting for you (luckily rogues can mostly pick their battles). As far as travelling with a group, it NEVER hurts, but you will probably find yourself in very few 'balanced' encounters. You may have to suppress these quaint principles of 'fairness' to get much actual PvP in. As I said above, I can't bring myself to do it usually. I guess I'm just a 'carebear' at heart (with a pretty extensive background of 'real' PvP FPS's, to boot).

Ignus - Undead Warlock (Draenor)

i chose this b/c it is what i did in that beta test weekend i was in on. its interesting, the voidwalker is a great tool in battle, but that being said, i am totally worthless without him. being restricted to cloth armor only sucks hard, and my attacks aren't getting as strong as i'd like as i progress. i just hit level 20, so ill be getting my succubus soon and we'll see how it goes after that. i'll prolly start an alt that is either druid or shaman b/c the animal forms look interesting, and seem to run a lot faster than i can...

lvl 18 Tauren Druid. Huan

I have mixed feeling about the druid, they are kinda hard to play as they are jacks of all trades but now that I'm starting to get up in lvl things are starting to get a little easer.

Illidan PVP server:

Lvl 60 Shammie (Adroc) -- been doing nothing but Scholomance, Stratholme, BRS raids to gear up for MC, Onxyia and the upcoming Battlegrounds.

Lvl 35 Rogue (Aziroc) -- rogues just straight up a$$rapes

Shammie b/c we are 'overpowered' :O -- we are jack of all trades but master of none. I like the versatility of this class on how you can spec your toon to be many different hybrids by training your talents as a healer, melee, or nuker.

Rogue b/c I wanted a melee twink and didnt want to play a boring tank. Hunters are fun too.

The bear form is nice. Cat form you should get ~20 and travel form around 30.

Bear becomes like a tank b/c of the AC increases you get are +75% of your current AC and +75% of HP. (I think that's correct)

Cat form is supposed to be good at melee but I understand it's usefullness dwindles as you get higher and bear form becomes better again.

And if things are getting easier, go find tougher quests. :D
