if you have the $500 to waste on a busted mini (after you attempt this), i think you can afford the upgrade price ;)

Heh, shortly Roland will doing much the same thing with all sorts of Apple systems..

how long will it be before apple starts incorporating pc options like overclocking?

If you want pre-overclocked and a very powerful system you don't buy from Dell, Compaq, Mesh etc. because they are hell bent on shoving Intel processors down your throats, the problem is not the MAKE of processor, it's that fact that they're all locked. Not only that but they tell you that a Celeron D is a powerful processor, but accidentally omit the "compared to a pentium 233Mhz" bit :lol:

Demonite, that's the make to buy from. Or if you've got a soldering iron lying around and a steady hand; buy a mac! :P
