FYI

In efforts to better serve our clients, we are moving all Teamspeak and Ventrilo servers currently located on Blazers (66.98.170.7)to a more powerful and stable server.

The server move will happen on Monday, Feb. 1, at 10:00 am EST. Your server will be offline for one hour during the move. The new server IP will be 70.84.50.74. If you are using blazers.anvox.com for the host, you should change it to clipper.anvox.com one the move has been completed.

I will post again when they send me an email saying that the TS server has been moved.

would it be an appropriate time to create 'ts.vsfgamers.com' as an alias? or 'teamspeak.vsfgamers.com'?

Would that be helpful to the community, then for future changes we can just change the alias?

How would this be done when the hosting Co. already has a DNS of clipper.anvox.com for the new server?

If possible this sounds like a good idea.

well, the reverse DNS may be sketchy (it will resolve to the hosting co as they are the authority, if someone did an nslookup of the IP), but a lookup or connect to teamspeak.vsfgamers.com would just resolve to 70.84.50.74.

So, the "TS Server" would be teamspeak.vsfgamers.com:xxxx, which in reality is 70.84.50.74:xxxx...

EDIT:
I just set up ts.vsfgamers.com and teamspeak.vsfgamers.com to point to the next IP for the TS server... should propagate thru dns soon... but it won't "work" until the server switch at naz's hosting co.
