I usually don't get ticked off by much on games but this guy.....

Map: UO_Stanjel

-I explain to him the server is a rotation between maps. He calls me a moron because its not on his fav. map (bas:foy) (begin annoyance)

Renames himself as a virus and global chats everyone to download him. (getting more annoyed)

He begins TK'ing axis players.

NV kicks him for TK'ing

NV leaves

Map rotates to dom:Cassino

Comes back after the 5 minutes, apologizes and complains the punishment was too severe.

"wtf he's" (NV) "gone" begins TK'ing again. :x

I call a PB kick on him. but can't get enough points.

He starts begging people to tell him how to call kick votes.

Server clears out. :very mad:

I think Redfury was there to witness this guy as well.

Player: ^4Blue guid c6a64783

sorry stockboy.

you and red have 30 pb points apiece and kick threshold is 70, all you needed to do is convince one other to pb_kick him.

on another note, i saw firsthand the glitch in the arnhem map. =ari=jarhead (some of you know the ari KH's) was using it on std's server. i was on thier TS and had std bleed4me ban him, not only did he get banned the rest of his clanmates did too.

any user of a map exploit will be banned!!
if no admins are on, i need the deputies to add lots of minutes to the kick. /pb_kick # 300000 will kick someone for 300000 minutes.

this might be a good time to address this as well. when any of us kick someone we should give a reason. to do this type in /pb_kick # 1 making room for server regular, please come back soon. (that will kick someone for 1 minute with the message as an explanation). only admins and deputies can add reasons for the kicks.

Nothing to apologize for. Just needed to give the heads up this guy continued being a KH.

I should also mentioned that for some reason the server was not reporting his teamkills.
Although his score remained at zero, all his kills were reported as normal kills (allied kill axis etc.) instead of the "xxx killed teamate yyy". I suspect this has something to do with special characters in his name. <shrug> Just an oddity I noticed, evenbalance would probably record it as a 130000 violation.

I had a couple of those types on the Dome the other night... You did the right thing. Best not to lose your head. They aren't worth it.

If only there was a way to have dynamic pb points. With each TK a given person makes, the more points regs get to kick.

Example: A reg has 30 points. If a KH TK's, the reg has 40 points (for kicking him, but only 30 for someone else). If a KH TK's his fourth time, the reg can kick him by himself.

You could have a schedule of points:

Wounding a teammate within x of a flag and no enemy within a settable radius: +5 PB points
Destroying team vehicles at their spawn location: +3 PB points
Driving a vehicle to within a set radius of an aircraft at the same spawn: +1 PB point

Maybe I should submit a feature request to EvenBalance.

I don't think that would work. I for one have taken to blowing vehicles up on purpose in my spawn if i'm on D, not all of them but select ones i know my team is not using. It leaves less vehicles for the enemy to jump in and attack me with, less vehicles for them to jump into after stealing my flag, less vehicles to use to blow up my bldgs, etc. On BF it was annoying, on UO, some ppl find it a strategy. The regs regularly blow up the Heavy tanks if a reg was in one and were killed when they got out. You just don't leave them lying around to be captured and used against you. As for the TK issue, if that was the cause then many ppl would have lots of points on certain ppl because of errant bullets and arty strikes

We do the same thing, but what does that have to do with his question?

I suppose it depends on a few factors. I can't imagine wasteing time and ammo blowing up surplus M1s in El Al in BF1942. But I can imagine a KH blowing up aircraft. However, once a vehicle was moved, even a little, or damaged by enemy fire, my rule would not apply. I doubt a KH would even notice if they had to first move something to make it harder to be kicked. Most KH's are not very smart, and those who are tend to be not long for this world because they are effective. (Which also makes them not very smart.)

Reminds me of an RTCW story from the beta test: we had a KH tker, and nothing we could do could get rid of him. He didn't talk at all or taunt, he was just a TKer. So I went spectator and spectated him. Then in global chat, I would relay where he was so that his teammates could avoid him and the enemy could kill him. I have NEVER seen someone get so livid as that :KH: The vitriol that he spewed was as long and unimaginitive as Ishtar. Then he left because he couldn't find any of his teammates. It was great.

Uh-oh, now I'm getting nostalgic. Anyone remember when you didn't need pliers to plant dyno?

VY, good point. On UO there aren't that many tanks or jeeps that i make that my cause, only occasionally, most times i nudge a few here and there to make it tougher for ppl to get into attack or steal the flag. They have to go around things and that gives me time to react. It's a neat concept you have, i would rather have things like that subtract my score and take rank and privledges away

We do the same thing, but what does that have to do with his question?

What question did he have? He made a statement and mentioned a thought of his. Since UO is of no concern to you, go back to BF ground pounding and killing anything that flies, EVEN if it's a teammate :D

Especially if it's a teammate. But some interesting points are brought up here. I wonder if there would be a way to develop a program that could be used across different games, and allow the sort of flexibility to keep the powers dynamic when there were under a certain number of players on.

Haven't seen u back since, seen u on BF the other night cause i reloaded and played under an alias...btw: what's with the "don't be a tard" comment when ppl are kicked...isn't that a little derogatory or insulting. As for it being the one game i like more than BF, that's MY choice, at least i don't cram it down ppls throats as THE game to play :D

Is there any way to bind the /PB Kick commands?

I doubt it, because the command needs further input that simply "pb_kick."

For a first time you did pretty good. It took me 10 or 20 rounds before I figured out how to use the MG in the drivers seat.
