what's it called when you boil an egg for about 4-5 min. and then tap the top open with a spoon and eat it off the shell????

i LOVE eating eggs like this but is there an official name for that? other than weird? :D

If the yolk is still gooey, then it's a soft boiled egg.
If the yolk is hard, then it's called a hard boiled egg.
Either way, it's still pretty tasty for breakfast with some toast.

Yum, soft boiled eggs and soldiers (soldiers being your pieces of toast cut up into nice dunking pieces/strips).

In Bulgariyan it's called "яйце за хардуер" and in Greek it's "σκληρός αυγό" (both mean "hard egg") but in English I think it is simply called "hard boiled eggs." There might be a French term for it that you've adopted.

Most common is "hard boiled egg". Can't think of any other names at the moment.

oops, i forgot to check back. :D

i boil it for about 4-5 min., and the yolk isn't runny but it's definitely not hard. and i POUR salt in there (takes away the egg-y taste) and eat it with a tiny spoon.

it's real hot too!
