View Full Version : Is this section Linux friendly?
I was wondering if this section is ONLY Apple or if I can lump in some Linux posts. Maybe this can be a catch-all for non-M$ OSes?
Just curious.

OS/2 pwns j00!
Weeeeeell, since Linux and Mac OSX are both Unix-based I suppose it's ok. ;)
Even more so with OSX. That was part of my thinking.
But then, there are even fewer games available for Linux than the Mac!
Yes and no. Have you ever heard of WineX? Depending on your hardware, you can get a lot of games to work. Click here (http://www.transgaming.com/) for more info.

uh huh
Doesn't matter to me if it stays named AppleTalk. Was just wondering if I could aimlessly ramble on about various Linux distributions here. I assumed the only people who would care in the slightest would be the Apple folk. If it were renamed, maybe something like "Alternate OS" or "OMGAPPLELINUXANDALLOTHERNONM$H4X". :D

Oh great, let's just call it "Other" OS's 'cause we all know there is just Windows and the "other" OS's.
Kinda like Christianity and then there's the "other" religions....
So how about renaming it "Puny, Insignificant OS's with Tiny Market Share, that no one cares about"? :very mad:
I'm kidding! I'm kidding!
I keed! I keed! Mac is the best OS there is!
...... for me to poop on!
some names i can think of are:
Alternate OS's
Non-conformist OS's
OS's for the Intellectual
Computers running the way God intended them
Apple, Linux, and more! Your non-Win OS store!
eh, im done. :D

Actually, the answer is pretty much yes. OS X has virtual PC plus you can run WINE if you formatted using UFS rather than HFS. Add to that any Mac-only games, and you come out ahead, though not by much, and certainly not in any significant way.
