View Full Version : Look on the Bright Side of Life
Good news. Monty Python's Life of Brian is being re-released in US theaters. It's been a long time sense I have seen LoB I think I may actually go see a movie in a theater for this once.
The full story is at the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3563405.stm)

Good, because that last movie of his SUCKED.
I'm not saying that because of my religious beliefs but because it lacked dialogue and its only purpose seemed to be to gross people out. Being raised on the bible I think he omitted too much stuff and took too much artistic licensing.
To be on topic, sweet, I can't wait to see this gem of Monty Python on the big screen.

The only problem with making a movie based on the holy bible and including everything is that it would be too long. I havent actually seen it and dont pan too. But there is only so much that can be crammed in. Maybe its part 1 of 1000?

LOL. Not planning on seeing it either. However, I believe it was only supposed to be the last 18 hours of Christ's life. (or something like that) Hope they don't break that down into 1000 movies. :D
Anyway, Hick, depending on which Apostle's account the "used" for the story, would account for a lot of what is/isn't in the story. I know little about "Passion" so I can't really say which they were using or if it was supposed to be a compilation. Also can't say what is/isn't in the movie. I can only comment that many people more religious than I loved it and thought it was moving even though they went in with the conception that it would be blasphemous.
Just my .02 even though, for my own reasons, I will not be seing this any time soon. (it's all b/c they left out the water into wine part and that just $@#$@# me off ;) j/k)
