View Full Version : Barber or Beautician?

Barber myself - can't justify spending 4 times the money to a person who only cuts mens hair 1/4 of the time.

My barber happens to be an Eastern European woman though...

Here's an informative website on flattops.

Whatever I see first when I need a haircut.

Beautician but she only charges $18 and the shampoo girls... NM. ;)

Plus I went to gradeschool with her and she owns 70% of the shop. Come on out to the 'burbs and we'll take care of you. :)

I cut my own hair...go figure.

Even when I don't have an outrageous hairdo, like a mohawk or something, I still keep it short enough to where I use my beard trimmers on it.

I'm a level 6 man, myself.

Used a #2 attachment for my clippers today. Bye bye long hair (well, long for me)

barber the last couple of years... wouldn't be caught dead in there years ago... then realized it was just as easy (and much cheaper to go to barber)

I wouldn't call it a Beautician... but I stopped going to the Barbers. I got fed up asking for something a bit different and ending up with the same haircut I've been gettting since I was 6.

I have my own personal hairdresser.

Salon. $15 for the cut, since I don't need a wash or anything. In & out in 15 minutes. It's about 2 miles from my house. Everything's about 2 miles or less from my house. I love the 'burbs. And I'd rather have a woman rubbing up against me as I get my hair cut than a man. :D Something vaguely erotic about a lovely woman with a sharp instrument hovering over you as she massages your head and you sit back relatively powerless. Okay, maybe I need counseling.

Braun? Or do you just use a nice polish?

Neither, his hairdresser's name is Matt and he uses a steak knife and some corn oil to shine up his scalp real nice. AK pays him with new video games.

rofl @ the "other" barber.

he's from Sparti. hehehe, I'd love to hear his accent.* hehehehe

*Lakonians have a distinct accent, kind of like a bumkin from the hills of Kentucky or something where the accent is really "hickish"

They pronounce their Lambdas and Gammas really hard and their Chi's really soft. It's quite funny.

Same here. Till recently. I was thinking about growing the 2 inch professional fro (AKA the "Pro-fro") but having hair sucks so I think I'll shave it all off beginning of next month.

I decided that if I was going to use the clippers, a #1 was more in order than a #2...I now look 'pleasant'.

That's um, very non-plussed and I'm not extremely overjoyed I could just mill around and look at things, non-chalantly.
