So I just saw that movie. here is my review, and as promised, no spoilers.
I personally feel that movie stole 1.5 hours of my life I will
never be able to get back. I think shooting myself it the head or watching mold
grow on a brick would have been more original and fun and a better use of my
time. Thank you
as for spoilers, after seeingthe first 10minutes you know all you need to know to figure out the rest of the movie and the rest ofthe time is a painful experience in being correct. *sigh*
Now, the GOOD parts of the movie were the previews. I would like to give a Full Out WOOT! to
Troy
Van Helsing (HUUUUUGH JACKMAN!!!!!!!!)
I, Robot
and...
Hellboy (Ron Pearlman!!!!!!!! awwwwww yeah!)

I heard it's not supposed to be a movie that you guess at what is going to happen, and most people should pick up on what will happen.

I can't believe that it hasn't been made into a movie until now. Judging by the trailer (http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/i_robot/video_large.html), I don't know how closely it will track with Asimov's book but it looks cool, regardless.
I, Robot was the first sci-fi novel I ever read as a kid (no, it wasn't the first edition :P ).

yeah, the trailer seemed waaaay off the book. They didn't even get the trhree laws of robotics right. it is an action movie with Will Smith. Looks cool none the less. Maybe it will even get some kid to read the book.

Whatever it takes to get kids reading. Especially Asimov.
