That is some funny stuff...

In the new trilogy, Anakin Skywalker portrays a damning indictment of technology's modern dehumanization of mankind through Hayden Christensen's lifeless, almost inhuman performance. There is a river of tragedy in every robotic line he utters, a horrific monotonal indication of his cyborgal fate.
Now it all makes sense... I thought he was just a crappy actor! A river of tragedy indeed!

omg that was good.

the bibliography section slayed me too.

I'd go with LOTR. Empire is a great movie, Jedi good, but Star Wars is near unwatchable. As are the new movies. And the second and third installments of the Matrix...

I'm old but if it wasn't for the 3rd one , the Godfather would have had my vote np....but because Sophia Coppala had prove she couldn't act before directing , it really, really, and I mean really ruined part 3...along with the lame story and Al Pacino seemed to forget how to act also....But because of that LOTR is it for me..

Same here, the Indiana Jones trilogy. I would say the Lethal Weapons trilogy but it's not really a trilogy with 4 installments.

Aliens trilogy, i couldn't stand the 1st and 3rd installments.
Back to the future, the 2nd and 3rd movies are just plain awful.
LOTR,
Matrix, part 2 and 3 just didn't live up to the 1st movie

"The rest of the casting leaves much to be desired, with the only bright spot being Monica Bellucci in both sequels. Her performances in the two films are a pair of ripe, full, well-rounded portrayals of firm, voluptuous womanhood that will go down as as two of the breast roles in recent mammary. "

My favorite line from this site's reasons LOTR sucks:

"The Battle Droid Syndrome.

The mutated muscular soldiers of Mordor turned out to be hilariously ineffective fighters, a dozen of them held off by a single dying human. Apparently they made the beasts by crossing Orcs, Goblins and the French."

I don't know if there will be a fourth (or for that matter a third) one, but the "X-Men" is shaping up really nicely so far. I can barely wait for the third one to come out. Otherwise, I was going to say LotR without hesitation, but now that Wrigs and MadSci mentioned "Indiana Jones," I'm kind of split up... Indy was definitely entertaining to watch.

fyi madsci, there are 4 alien movies
and i didnt really like xmen 1 that well, 2 was far superior.
i love the star wars trilogy, even though its turned into a crappy sextology(?) now.
lotr is an outstanding piece of work, and will be remember in cinematic history for many decades im sure.

but my vote goes to the Matrix trilogy. apparently me and the Wachowski's are the only people who actually love these movies (im assuming they do anyways ). the first film basically revolutionized film making and so many films and games and such have incorporated elements of it into them since. the 2nd film is my favorite, most likely because of the special bond it shares with the 'enter the matrix' game. you truly cannot experience one without the other imo. the final movie did puss out a bit at the end, i was pretty disappointed with the direction they turned it. i think that due to the surprising negative reactions that most people carried towards the 2nd, the bros. decided to tone down the plot so that the average schmuck could get through the film without having to use his brain. truly the 3rd film could have been led through some very complex confusing plot twists that few would have understood. also, watching 'the animatrix' really adds to the trilogy storylines.

if i could sum up the Matrix trilogy in 2 words, they'd be: damn cool ;)

Not to mention Aaliyah who was supposed to play Jada Smith's role.

I thought the Animatrix was awesome, especially the 2nd Renaissance. As for "The Matrix" itself, after watching "The Thirteenth Floor" and "Dark City," the core concept of The Matrix itself wasn't all that new to me. I thought the concept of the weird symbiotic relationship between the machines and the humans was pretty interesting, though. The second one was okay, except it had some pointless and annoying scenes in it, like the boring conversation between Neo and the old lady and Morpheus' cheesy 'patriotic' speech followed by the rave/orgy in the cave that just made me think WTF?? As for the third one, I am yet to watch it when it comes out on DVD.

Am I the only one who thought that Matrix 2 and 3 were the worst films of all time, Star Wars Jar Jar Binks character infused Lucastainment not-withstanding?

I mean, even Dark Star was a better film.

ya the cave scene was ghey, but it did show some nipples and had a really cool song playing in the bg, so its not all bad ^^

i liked the animatrix episode where the kids go to the 'haunted house' and its really just a glitch in the code
