Spammed your 1000th post as a snow day. Nice. And get a spell checker or slow down. You're in no rush, you don't have to go to school. It makes you look sloppy. And lazy. These things carry over into adulthood.

Ok, then how about using an apostrophe with contractions, and 'too' instead of 'to' when appropriate.
I think Chaly's point is, you are forming a habit that could be detrimental to your writing skills.
Being that it's a snow day then you have time to install IESpell (http://www.iespell.com/). It only adds another second or two to your posting time.
Have a great snow day off.

Bingo. My grammar, spelling and punctuation may not always be perfect (I think I had something like 2 typos in the old forums :D ), but sheesh, it shows either a lack of concern about how you come across or a lack of respect for not only yourself, but the people who bother to read your posts. Think about it. If the Declaration of Independence started out with "We/ da peeple; inm ordur to from a more prefect onion...", do you really think any would take us serious? Consider us extra credit. If you submit a paper that looks anything, and I mean anything like your posts, they won't even read it. Laziness is a slap in the face of people who took the time to learn and use their communication skills.

It's weird all over the planet. My best friend who lives in Amman Jordan (TheGreek doesn't count as a best friend, he's family) sent me pics this morning of snow. It rarely snows in March in Amman, in fact, it rarely snows in any month outside of January.

Maybe the snow is a sign of the apocalypse. As to spelling, if it weren't for my spell check I'd be bottom of the heap.

I agree with the Pup. It doesn't take much effort and it demonstrates a sense of respect for your fellow netizens. Not taking the time to proofread your posts shifts the burden of doing so to every reader. It also gives you a chance to read your post to see if it makes sense -- it is easy to lose your intended message in poor grammar or spelling.

If you look at the roof you will see some greenish/blue and brown..the brown is new copper(when they shine that it's blinding) and the greenish/blue is copper that is tarnished....been cleaning that and others around for close to a decade....and when they finish they'll have to start all over again...Alot of that style of building design around here.....really a beautiful city.......I'll post a thread on all Ottawa offers for folks who may want a nice, safe , inexspensive trip (family/road)........something for everyone here!!

They really shouldn't waste their time removing the tarnish. IIRC, the patina actually serves to protect the underlying metal from corrosion. That's why they don't 'clean' the Statue of Liberty.

Let's see... Maybe Naz can testify as well, since he and I are in the same area, but it's like fricking July over here in Southern California. I told my boss that I'll be taking Friday off this week, so that I can go snowboarding before all the snow in the mountains melts away. So, the bottom line is that you should consider yourself lucky for having snow at all. I have to drive for hours before I can see some of the white stuff. Which reminds me... The last time we had anything remotely close to winter here was, what..., 1980's? Nowadays it seems as though we have two seasons here: Summer and a couple of rainy months that don't really fall into any known seasonal category.
In florida we have Summer and Sumter (A weak summer)

I guess we both think the grass is greener over on the other side. I'll bet you anything, though, that once you deal with the traffic congestion over here for a week, you'll be glad to go back home to the frigid climate. :D

Bah, Canada's too far north, SoCal's too far south. I like seasons, all winter I curse the snow and wish for the summer, all summer I curse the heat and dream of snow. But all fall and spring, the weather rocks. Though after the foot of fluffy white stuff the just landed in my yard, after being 50 degree's all weekend, I'm confused by the weather.
