picked this up yesterday for gamecube. its a remake of MGS1 for Playstation, but they totally redid the whole thing so that it plays and looks like MGS2 for PS2. they also added a lot of fun little things (like little Nintendo memorabilia scattered around, dog tags, ghost pictures). I'm just about ready to go fight Psycho Mantis i think, one of the coolest events in any video game! :D
one thing i did notice is that the real-footage movies seem to be different than the PSX version. it seems that there is less of them i think. also, the "Policebots" video that you watch after you meet Otacon has been replaced with footage from "Zone of the Enders 2" for PS2. i really had to :lol: at that ^^
biggest change and major upset i have with it is that they didnt give Snake a mullet!!!!! that was always such a hilarious aspect of the game! he just has normal tapered hair in the back now :x
anyways, any fan of MGS should pick it up, its way better than playing the PSX version again after playing MGS2. and if you have a GC and an extra $40 laying around, do yourself a favor and go get it soon! :D
