Does anyone know how to install 4.0 on a serial (SATA) Hard drive. 2000 &/or XP go on fine. I've been trying for a while and 4.0 does not have a native serial driver so I get the same type of screen (could not find hard drive) as if I were trying to put it on a SCSI i didn't have drivers for during setup. The Motherboard driver CD does not contain anything either.
Motherboard: ASUS P4P800
Anyone???
Anyone???

Sorry I have no idea. You need to find a NT4.0 driver for either the 865 chipset or ICH5r. I looked on both Intel's and Asus's site, couldn't find anything.

Edit:
I'm not even sure if they have a NT4 driver for the serial controller period. One (really roundabout method) is installing NT4 on a regular P-ATA HDD then see if you can find the drivers to enable the serial controller. If you can then you can clone the OS over to the S-ATA HDD.
