I've been looking forward to this game for over a year now. Hopefully they will release a demo so I we can give it a try :D

and yes, i would love to have a place to play this. this game will pwn. im thinking of selling Halo for this one, and some of my older RTS games for BF:V when i decide i want it.

OMG NO! You are one of those people who trade in games? WHY!? In two years when you feel like playing an old classic and realize you traded it in you'll be PO'd.

I didn't say there wasn't a 1st person view. The point is that if it isn't one way or another (locked 1st or 3rd) then my tendency toward 1st person could give the 3rd person players an advantage. Notice that's why I said "we'll see". Pansy. :roll:

Me, I'm going to wait and see. I've already got Unreal 2004, and that sits around collecting dust. I get the feeling this one will probably do the same. Sure, it looks sweet. So did all of my ex girlfriends. Not to mention a whole bunch of other games. I was less than impressed with the fact that the first preview of the game was shot on a freakin' camcorder. We'll see.

Not to mention the demo was promised for last year and still hasn't been released.

What REALLY bothers me is that there is no clear discussion about the game play. They speak of a Commander, 3rd person, first person, etc... but never really explain the whole deal.

I still contend that the game will be much like Savage. One leader making decisions and buying weapons in 3rd person and the rest running around fighting. If it is, it'll be a huge disappointment.

I unloaded Savage a while back b/c it's the most frustrating online game you'll ever play if your commander sucks.

I hope this game is as good as it looks on the surface but I have my doubts.

But I'm afraid that the mix of First person and 3rd Person will do more harm then good to this game.
Like Iggy said it may give and advantage to the ones that will play 3rd person. Maybe if they let the server admin decide if the server is going to be one or the other.

thats the cance you take :D the 3rd person aspect is the one of the things i find appealing about this game, a VSF server (if it is a server option) would probably be locked one way or another to keep it fair. however that would drive some people off, like me. if it was locked in 1st person id play elsewhere. some people might play else where if it was locked in 3rd person because they dont like that view.
