Yeah, I saw that back in '97 or so, and it still freaks me out. What's it from?
I eventually decided it had to be fake, but only because there's no other reason to film some guy crossing the street. The award-y looking thing in the corner was another clue.

nobody just crosses the street like that looking in the opposite direction only. It takes a force of will to tear your eyes away and force your attention to traffic in an opposite direction from where it's coming from. He deliberately doesn't look. Yet, before he traverses the street, he looks back (to see when the car is coming and if he's on queue?)
