Last night was a great opportunity to shake out the bugs and also to remind me of the basic settings everyone prefers. I made a list while we were playing. Here are the things I changed this morning.

Medic recharge changed from 45 to 25 seconds. I am fairly sure that's what it was on CCM.
Lieutenant recharge changed back to normal.
Disabled limit of 3 on Panzerfaust.
Disabled Panzerfaust arc.
Disabled voting (even though kicking MASH was hilarious :D )
Disabled gib points. This is what was putting all our Panzer wielding folks behind the 8-ball. According to shrub documentation - "When g_gibPoints is on (1), players receive 1 point for gibbing an enemy and a 3 point deduction for gibbing teammates or gibbing himself."
Changed maxping to 500.
Changed inactivity timer to 10 minutes. Kept getting disconnected while trying to check server settings. :(
Capped ammo at 128.

There are also some settings in effect that you may or may not be aware of. Here is a short list.

Airstrike blocking is enabled.
Smoke grenades enabled (/sg in the console - or bind it).
Grenade packs enabled (/grenades or /gp in console - or bind it).
Mines and trip mines disabled.
Word censor enabled to instagib when using profanity. The list is limited to the really offensive words i.e. the seven dirty words.
Playdead enabled (/playdead in the console - or bind it).
Underwater revives enabled.
Poison needles disabled.
giveammo enabled (/giveammo x in the console where x=amount of ammo to give)
Text shortcuts enabled.*

There is an admin bot running as well. It will auto kick on -20 score. TKs are assigned point values When a player accumulates enough TK points they are automatically kicked and banned for 5 minutes. Each weapon has an assigned points value. Weapons that are harder to kill teammates with are assigned a higher value.

Weapon TK Values
pistol = 50
knife = 50
TNT = 20
flamethrower = 30
grenade = 25
grenade splash = 25
panzer = 25
panzer splash = 25
MG42 = 20
sniperrifle = 50
mp40 = 30
thompson = 30
sten = 30
venom = 30

There is some logic to the way the bot looks at TK points. It uses a consecutive multiplier bonus of 20 points in addition to whatever other bonus points may be racked up on a kill (based on the weapon used). The first kill gets no consecutive points, the second kill gets +20, the third gets +40, the fourth gets +80, etc. There is an initial danger period whereby a player new to the round is evaluated with a much harsher set of rules. Basically, within this danger period, TK points for people with no enemy kills are doubled. Danger period is 60 seconds.

So, for example, if Alice is within initial danger period and has never killed an enemy, and is using the Thompson (30 points), her first TK is worth 60 points (30 * 2 for danger period). Her second is worth another 80 points ((30 * 2) + 20). Her third is worth another 100 points (30 * 2) + 40). So, her total for #1 is 60, for #2 is 140, and for #3 is 240. With the default max of 99, she'd be kicked after the second kill. In contrast, if it's 2 minutes in, and Alice has killed an enemy, and accidentally kills a friend with her Tommy gun, that's only 20 points. If she then kills another enemy and then another friend walks in front of her, that's only 40 points.

One other thing worth mentioning are the shrub text shortcuts. CCM never had these so it was a new concept to me. It deals with text binds and allows for using variables for things like your location and amount of health. From the shrub readme:

Players can use the following text shortcuts in their say,
say_team, and me chats. They will be replaced with the appropriate text:

[a] - the last teammate who gave you ammo
[d] - the last player who killed you
[h] - the last teammate who gave you health
[k] - the last player who you killed
[l] - your location
[p] - the teammate you are pointing at
[r] - the last player who revived you
[n] - your name
[s] - the amount of health you have
[w] - the weapon you are holding

For example, one can "bind n say_team I need help! I'm at [l] and I only have [s] health left!" or "bind l say_team [p], turn around! I'm trying to give you a [w]!" ([w] could read "Ammo Pack" or "Health Pack" depending on what a player is holding, or it could be left out).

Helpful hint: type "/? shortcuts" in the console to see the above list in-game."
