I want to go through the settings to look for odd stuff... the config I am using now is a hybrid of sorts and there might be something in there causing my intermittent, but annoying, sound loops.
Or email it to me at JTFazz at vsfgamers.com

Try this...it's all of my cfgs in a zip file. Has LOTS of the stuff we used back in the 'good ole days'.

Okay, its not the config. I loaded up OD's and still got the mini loops. Must be something else... maybe something running in the background or something... Norton, Zone Alarm... I don't know.

Yep, almost positive it was PB that did it. We need someone who doesn't get any soundloops to post their PB files.

Only thing is that no one else seems to be having this problem... or are you saying you are, too?

hate to harp on it... did you guys do a pb update from their site, manually or automatically?

I just re-installed recently... remind me how to do that?

Yes, I'm having the intermittent sound loops. Lasts for about 3 seconds, about 10-15 minutes apart. I used to start my own little server, and let PB update itself there. Monty, you got the manual command?
I am having the same problem. I have not updated PB lately, tho. I will try that.

OK... I just played for over 18 minutes with no mini loop... I will post the files you need in the download section...

This may explain the problems for those with NVidias....

Version 1.069 of the PB Client for RtCW has been released to our PB Master Servers for auto-update and to our website download page.
Release Notes for PB Client v1.069:
* contains a temporary workaround for the lockup conflict with nVidia v5x.xx forceware drivers until nVidia corrects their backwards compatibility issues - the workaround may or may not solve the lockup problem for individual users depending on hardware combinations
to update your PB.... download pbweb.exe... or read this here...

I will develop the "OD anti-MASH-bot Warning Script"... anytime he goes within a block of the flag on MG, it will trigger that message in big letters across the screen.

In addition to running pbweb.exe there are a couple of pb parameters you can set via the console (courtesy of Rogue):
/pb_system 1
/pb_sleep 500
These control how often pb updates and can solve crashing/looping problems.
