Downloading. Hopefully I'll be able to play some before I start 'school' at 3pm.

Tried it earlier - it's okay, but doubt I will buy it unless there's a particular reason.

I got banned from one of the IRC channels for spamming it with messages - there's a text-2-speech feature that just cracked me up.

People were coming out with song lyrics like "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away, now it looks as though they're here to stay."

Funny hearing it in the monotonously serious voice.

I gotta say that I didn't like it at all on the first try.

Reason I didn't like it:
No feed back (don't hear them yell in pain, don't feel them hurting)

Fast pace
Acurate aiming doesn't reward you most of the time
I had no clue what I was doing in OnSlaught game type

I gave it a second try and I liked it very much.
Reasons I like it now that I gave it a 2nd look:
Plays like PlanetScape without the monthly payment of 15$
You can fly and drive *in certain gametype* (like in BF1942)
Onslaught is probably my favourite game type because it takes teamwork to capture the nodes in sequence
you can heal structures and vehicles with the Link weapon

I didn't play DM or TDM or Conquest, I just played a whole lot of Onslaught cause I like the game play.

I gave ut2004 demo a good test run last night....The onslaught mode has great potential....it plays like a high paced bf1942 push/objective map with futuristic weapons....I say /objective because you have to destroy the final base....and it seems to be very popular...as it was almost impossible to find a server with enough spots for me and 2 friends ...and there were quite a few with good pings....while on the other hand finding spots on the DM servers was quite easy.....this is understandable because it's nearly identical to ut2003....its still the "pray you spawn near a good gun. " ..then.. " keep your finger on the trigger and jump-dodge" type of game its been forever....

I didn't try any of the other game types but they did bring back the assault mode(my old favorite)!

I would recommend trying out this demo for the onslaught mode alone....I still dont have a good feel for the weapons but my buddies and I started to get some teamwork together after a while(thier DM junkies :? )

download it ...its free!
