well i d/l it tonight due to the rampant viruses currently plaguing Kazaa. its all set up, ive d/l 2 songs and 1 album. question though- how do i make mp3s? do i have to burn cd and then rip it? also when it d/l's songs, it keeps making folders >< how do i stop that? also what quality are these songs in?

songs i d/l tonight:

Outkast - Hey Ya (dammit i love it for some reason!)
No Doubt - Its My Life (same as ^, only not as much)
Oakenfold - Bunkka (album)

any other recommendations?

i gotta say im pretty impressed with this program, especially the 30 sec clip they let you stream before buying it!

EDIT: just used it to burn the Oakenfold album, and dang thats a nice quick process! =]

Folders:
On the Mac, it's Preferences -> Advanced -> "Keep iTunes Music Folder Organized" and it will stop doing that. I actually like that, if you have a lot of music (when you play older tracks it will create the folders & organize them).

Mp3:
Yes, burn it to a cd-rw and then just rip it right back. It's a bit of a PITA, but that limitation is what allows iTunes to get the music from the record companies, so... it's better than Microsoft's DRM where you can't burn it at all!

Suggestions:
Given that band you sent me and posted here, I'll say: Queen, Scorpians, Quiet Riot, Slayer... :D

ya i saw the 'Keep Music Organized' feature, but i already have ~9gb of mp3s that are divided into folders and follow the naming convention i desire. i dont want to lose that!

have a bunch more Oakenfold if you want... just have to rip it to mp3 for you, for testing purposes of course
