Analog is working on installing. I just chatted with him via IM. I would wait until you get word, though.

That's the plan.
As long as Mash or Analog upgrade that's good enough for me.

This will be a complex server side/admin upgrade as it radically changes some things, including PunkBuster integration and map change protocols change.
So, its not going to be a "flash cut" upgrade. It will take some time to integrate the new features and get all the second tier admins up to speed.
Why must they always release these damn things on Fridays... CoD patch released today also.

It's more than just applying the patch too. Map files and such also need to change.
Not sure if the current admin tools will work either.

Agreed. There are a few posts on the DC forums talking about random problems. Probably best to just hold off a bit.

Looks like Analog has already updated his server.
I'll test it out once i get this patch downloaded. It seems like every site hosting it or the CoD patch is heavily bogged down right now.

Problems listed so far in the DC forums are:
Getting kicked to desktop
Make sure you have PB enabled on the client. This may be causing the kick to desktop.
Cannot see the scoreboard (TAB key) in DC.
1.6 changed the scoreboard, adding menu items to it. It is suspected that the DC folks will need to modify their menu.rfa file to accomodate this.

You know what this means.... no more "OMG Teams!!!" At least for the time being.
The Dome will be updated shortly. We will have to figure out the administration part. Worst case, senior admins can kick/change maps/etc via pcAnywhere connection, so all will not be lost.
