I didn't get to play last night, so maybe it has changed, but, when I did play DEM the other night, I noticed that by and large, the attacking team gets PWNED a lot because of the difficulty in tasks, even when it is just one target.

So, I was wondering if COD has a method to swap teams each round? I would think that instead of getting pwned every round, getting pi**ed off because you can't get a single win, I think it would be cool if each round, the defending team and attacking team switched - balancing out things in the long run.

Is such a process possible? And if so, would anyone consider its use?

I don't know about the switching between rounds....But the overall understanding of the mod. gameplay was 10x better last night and it showed with teamwork, organized attack squads, supressing fire and nade spamming.. :D ..Allies still lost more than it won but it was a alot closer..we even won 3 or 4 maps..Sot. the teamwork (getting used to the mod. style) made all the difference in Attacking teams suceess...and when you won man it was gratifyng cause that's 10 mins. of pure insanity. 8O ...

But the attacking team does need always 1-2 depending on map more players.

I'm gonna check with another server about the command for rotating spawns. It sux to get a plant and be so far away. Unlike Wolf u kind of half expected it, but here with such intense close in fighting, the rotating spawn points may help both sides.

OMG Nade Spamming!
LOL
We were playing Harbor.
they had planted by gun B and there was so little time left.
We all spawned at once it seemed and ran that way. Grenades RAINED down upon them. I coulnted 20 before i stopped counting.
hehehehe

Keeping the spawn point where it is encourages more careful play. Unlike my style -> run, gun and die...

You have to forget alot of bad habits we've picked up from playing games with respawns. I never had any issues with charging a bunker and spraying bullets in RtCW or ET. In CoD, it just gets you killed.

I always use auto assign when I connect. If everyone did, the teams would be shuffled each map. I think teamwork is improving anyway, now that people are learning what to do.

This from the creator of Demolition.

New:
1. The hit indicator has been toned down, and may be moved.
2. If "killcam" is enabled the player will be able to finish the killcam before getting to respawn.
3. The respawn countdown will be an onscreen HUD element, not a printout.
4. THE BIG ONE - I'm working on changing the spawn logic, so that reinforcements will come from different areas, not right on top of the targets.

I played on a server where they must have been testing the spawn logic thing. You didn't have to run clear across the map to protect the bomb, and the axis did not spawn on top of the bomb. Worked really well.

Already was in the process of sending the link to Menzel so he can check it over. I stopped by the forum yesterday and PM'd Ravir for info. Good catch Paul on the info :D

Shellshock is happening when you are shot, or you accidentally shoot teammates. The amount is really high, especially with grenades. I know some ppl like it....can we at least turn it down? Thanks for everything, Menzel!

shellshock has been fixed in all game modes except for DEM. ravir, the mod creator, incorporated shellshock into the beta version of DEM that we are currently running. i have pm'd ravir asking if there is a command we can use to disable or turn off the bullet shellshock. as soon as i know anything you guys will know too.

on a side note ravir was playing on our server thursday evening maybe he'll come around more often and we can suck him into the community like we have menzel..... :D
