DEM: at a glance

1: attacking has to blow up both targets
2: attacking team has 6 bombs to do so (located at spawn)to pick up press F do not press F again till planting you will drop it.
3: if killed while carrying a bomb attacking team must pick it up to use it(where guy was killed) defending defuse it or protect it for 60 secs. then it blows up on its own and can't be used.Defending team can win by defusing 5 bombs or holding and defending of both objectives in requiered time.
4:Respawns!!....unlimited (with objectives.. :D )
5:Health can be given to teamates!! To do so get close(teamates name in green healthy, teamate name in red almost dead different colours in between)if you or person being healed fires their weapon the healing process is negated.I believe you can give 1/2 health back
6: TEAMWORK!!...oh yeah to plant and protect and or defuse with respawns this is needed....come out,try it you'll love it

P.S. Bombs dropped show up on compass for attacking team as a gold star , for defending team as blue question mark.

P.P.S. you have a 10 sec. spawn protection if being camped. Once you spawn and are shot by the enemy in the first ten seconds he absorbs the damage not you....OH by the way NV mention that they have implemented the map "Base" from Wolf to this.. :D this is a server mod. nothing to download .

no i ran into a sight that had the base map converted for cod but IT IS NOT in demolition.

i must say DEM r0x0rz, and is very impressive for a mod. they added a lot! there are still things that need fixed, but its great for now :)

Very frustrating mod for the attacking team :evil: I was trying my best to plant the bomb but without protection from teammate it's almost pointless. They should atleast make it so that if the bomb is dropped near the target it can destroy it as well. I don't get people sniping in the attacking team for the Pavlov map. They drive me nuts. Thank god I only played 1 round as attacking team cause it almost killed my mood. Senkrad heard all the whining from me on ventrilo last night lol...

where do russians spawn on pavlov? they're always next to the bomb sites... Don't tell me in the same building as the bomb site...

I like DEM but it needs to be balanced out (or fine tuned).

the whole idea of demolition is teamwork. exceptionally skilled players do not play as big of a factor because if you don't play as a team you will not win.

some tips, never ever try to plant by yourself ALWAYS have backup.

assault teams should ideally consist of 3 members. dyno carrier stays to the rear and the other 2 stir up the hornets nest to clear a path.

call for health whenever you need it, if there are 3 of you in the assault team someone should be able to help you out.

if the assualt team (the 2 protecting the dyno carrier) get killed the dyno carrier should immeadiately find cover and work his way back to the spawn point and pickup more people to protect. if the dyno carrier tries to make it by themself and dies it's way too easy for the defending team to defuse the dyno.

for the old time wolf players all this is common sense and pretty much how we did things back in the day. many times it would be wrigs (engineer), cpt (medic), and myself (lt) running around like fools.

most importantly, work as a team!

feel free to offer your tactics but in my opinion this mod pwns joo.

Yup, teamwork is back! Attackers really only have a limited number of attempts, so we go back to strike teams, woohoo!

Now I want to see dual objective maps!

Example last night: I am not a good one v one player, NV and i spawned with Ignus. I said i will get bomb and defuse it, u clear me a hole. I know NV can and Ignus took 2 out to my right before he bit it. On this mod teamwork will prevail, without it u fail. It can work like that on O, stay back if u have the bomb, let the hole open up, get in, plant, get to a safe cover position.

I played earlier today with Sauron and CPT. CPT stayed close to me and we worked together as much as possible. One engages..reloads..other engages finishes off the person. We had a round today where i had the last bomb left. I watched my offensive team get blasted and i got shot as i retreated. I worked my way back to the spawn, got help, we did plant and defended successfully. Bok, me and you had a nice little tag team going on Carentan for awhile. Stay together, work together. On this server i played on, the spawn point rotates somehow, which makes it nice because sometimes you don't have to cover all the distance to defuse or cover a bomb. Not sure if our server has that on.

As far as the snipers on Pavlov, they caused a little havoc then i decided to take things into my hands and help my team out by going sniper back and clearing them out. Snipers will have there place, ask SK or Rogue about sniping on WOLF...ugggh.

This MOD u HAVE to get dirty. A well coordinated strike is dam tough to defend, and vice versa. Like NV, i pride myself in breaking up a good D. Like NV said, know ur role, get organized and work as a team. God i miss that strike force of CPT, NV and me...lots of good plants, and plenty of havoc :D I'll play with anyone, anywhere, but you need to learn what skills the other ppl have as teammates and this will make you a better overall player. I said it once, i'm not a 1 to 1 player. I'm good in support, HW, and sneaking thru to get a plant down and defending the crap out of it. I still fear the great players, but a team can overcome them. All we need now is Lowrider and his sneakers. :D

VSF/CCM is and has always been about teamwork... that is why many of our membership failed to fully embrace CoD in the beginning, because the only non-OLTL modes were free-for-all Deathmatches basically... even BEL. So, I think this mod will go a long way in attracting members to the CoD side... frustration, when shared with your team, is always easier to swallow.... :naughty:

a bit of attacking strategy advice from me:

if someone plants (or has a good chance of planting), you really need to defend the plant. but it is also an extremely good idea to grab some dyno to plant on either objective. if there is multiple dynos on the same gun, they wont know which one to defuse first. and also the 2nd obj is usually clear once the one has been planted on, so they might not have time to get back to that gun after defusing the first.
