Well at exactly midnight last night, while flying the Sea Stallion on Oil Rigs, my ISP cut off the service for a couple days as I have switched phone carriers. Guess I won't be on a for few days as I'm writing this from the fiance's home.
To make matters worse I thought my computer was acting funny, really slow to logging on Windows and stuff and decided to do a reinstall of XP. Well I accidently deleted the partion on my USB back-up drive but didn't format it! I can see the drive but I can't access anything on it
Most of my videos, the collection of all the various downloads (utilities, game patches etc), backup email, backup of Favorites, documents, MP3s, projects etc, almost a years worth seem gone.

Time to post in the hardware section now...

There are data recovery services that can do that for you - - don't know how many $$$ you may have to spend. Guess it depends on how valuable the stuff was to you. :|

Wow that really sucks. I wanted to back up my computer animation files 2 years of work. I bought a my first CD burner in 98 and saved all my computer animations and project files to CD. Someone wanted to see my animaitons from the past, 6 years later they are coasters. Never save any important data to CD, the dye goes bad. I feel your pain, but you may have a chance to get your data back. First don't write anything to the drive you will overwrite any chances of recovering your data. I would then slave the drive and find undelete recovery program/tool.

Make sure you do not install the application on the drive you want to recover. I hope that helps.
