View Full Version : Possible bug on DC URBAN SEIGE.

Try this next time your playing Urban Seige. Do not try on VSF server.
Jump in the drivers seat of the carrier. Aim said carrier towards the city full speed ahead. Sit back and watch as the carrier drifts happily across the desert towards the opposion spawn.

I have about 200 screen shots of this that I don't know how to post.(or even find in my DC files)

This reminds me. When we were playing Wake on Christmas Eve, this happened:

This third one shows the invulnerability of the side gunners on the Nimitz; Raptor Red attempted to shoot me with the gun on the rear of the MH-53.

The lag produced by the carrier being so close to the island was tremendous.

I'm just curious as to why this could possibly be a bug. I mean, you're just moving the carrier. Am I missing something again?

Urban Siege itself is laggy and should be avoided anyways...

Not too happy about seeing the carrier being able to do that on Wake :(
I like that map and I would hate to see some naval maps taken out because of constant exploiting.

that was great, for the first 2 minutes you were lookin all over the place for where the fire as comin from until I spoke up on TS an asked if I was doing ANY damage.

You are correct, the part about "across the desert" escaped my attention. This would definately be a bug, you are correct sir.

It a new hover carrier. You can take it over land through the swampy marshes and to the shopping mall.

From the first day we played Urban Seige I think I noticed an issue related to this problem. The map must be modeled on water as a base of some sort. Spawn in the opposition forward spawn point, drive the Shilka over the sidewalk and onto the roadway in front of where it spawns. Just sit there and you'll see it begin to take damage. Jump out, eventually it just explodes, with nothing firing upon it. The explosion, you'll hear, is as if it were in water. Any non-amphib, vehicle left there explodes in a big water splash. I would assume this is related to why the carrier can drive over land, as it's behaving like water, not pavement or dirt.

wtf mate? i have seen the same thing, sometimes if you are driving you will see water spray behind you if you are in the chase cam coming out of the opp. spawn.
