Installed CoD on one of my PCs; CoD kept asking if I wanted to install DirectX 9. I checked 'NO'. I already have it installed.

It asked me if I were sure because some things may not run correctly. I said yes, I'm sure. It then proceeds to load DirectX 9 anyway. I cancel the Install.

Now my other PC won't even boot in SAFE mode. No video, period. Recovery disk won't recover.

Reformatting C: drive as we speak. :evil: :evil: :evil:

Oh well - I wanted to put the swap file on a separate partition. Just not this way. :x :cry: :cry: :cry: :x

i know the frustration.

then playing tonight on std, std gollum accuses me of cheating. grrrrr no skilled kids. thier parents need to beat them more often and on that note blastizzle may have skillz but he needs a beating in the worst way.

If they do that, then you should ask them if they're used to beating their 7 year old sister at the game and they're not used to getting whupped by grown-ups. :D

I know a few doctors, excluding SK :D , and the biggest complaint they have about other doctors is the assumption that they're the best at everything, they do no wrong, ego, ego, ego. Unfortunately, one of my friends who complains about others like that exhibits some of those characteristics. :roll: Anyway, some people just can't accept the fact that they're getting owned by somebody else. guys beat gollum up all you want but keep in mind STD has been nothing but gracious hosts to us all. as far as i know gollum is the only knucklehead accusing me of cheating so lets keep the banter in jest and good natured.

those of us that have been playing there should register and say hello. thier forums are well done and informative.

No , no nobody has said anything but good about STD but only laugh at one it's members only...yes this Gollum talks or so it seems more than he thinks but just got off there server had fun only one member on saber tooth tony I think he was called and no hostility from him only good gaming ,guys this is one member and he is wrong , as much as we all hoped and wished he was right :P (and still think he is :swg: j/k) no it's a fun server and the rest seem normal.............

Just to clarify one little point...

NV mentioned that we didn't have a "home" server and that's why some of the folks jumped on the STD server. Just to remind everyone, Menzel was nice enough to set up a 24 slot CoD server and named it VSFGaming. While WE do not own it, we have been invited to play there...

std bugsy, an admin, sent me a nice apology for gollum's behavior. these std guys are class acts!! he assured me gollum was acting on his own behalf and not on behalf of std in any way.

once again guys, if you enjoy playing on std's server you should register for thier forums and introduce yourselves. we appreciate it when people that frequent our servers join and say hello so we should show the same courtesy.
