Something I really have not encountered until recently;
If you're thinking of getting LCD monitor with DVI attachments you should make sure you have a quality video card to go with it. Right now I'm messing with several video cards that claim to have DVI functionality but in reality are unuasable as such due to heavy artifacting (regular analog display works fine). Right now the common denominator in these cards are:

1. They are PCI. Maybe PCI can't provide adequate power to drive a DVI signal?

2. They are all (cheap) 3rd party builds of the video cards. Not Original manufacturer. Perhaps they were cutting corners?

3. They are all old cards. Based on the Rad7000 chipset. (*Note I'm not bashing ATI here. A quick search on the web shows that the GeForce 2 had its own share of DVI problems)

I'm hoping to narrow this problem down further as soon as I can get a different video card in for testing. ---- Will update this later.

Conclusion? Don't go for the cheap solution when looking for a DVI capable card. .... That or start a riot over the decline of quality and crafstmanship of hardware manufacturers.

PCI can't compete with AGP. Like the difference between using a $.39 adjustable wrench vs a $15 SK 11mm socket. Right tool for the job.

Well, yeah I agree whole heartedly there. That would explain it if the image was ghosting. However I'm talking about just "glitches" appearing on what should be a static image.

I imagine since your trying with a PCI card that your trying to get the 2 monitor fandango going. If thats what your doing, let us know how it turns out!

using multiple vid cards for multiple monitors is a lot trickier than using 1 card w/ dual output. which is very smooth and 1337 ^^

Bleah... Well this experiment turned inconclusive. The owner went and bought a more expensive video card.

Oh well. Conclusion : Don't run DVI on cheap video cards.
