Patch should be out next week. I pray to god that it will allow me to actually be able to play the game rather than just a set of $30 discs that just sit there collecting dust.
I have tried all the popular fixes and Activisions last suggestion was wait for the patch.

I can't complain at all about how it runs either.
But the things I'd like to see toned down a bit are the greandes - far too much of a blast from them and secondly the guns.
It's too easy to kill someone with a headshot while bunnyhopping around.

I've heard that bunny hopping will be tuned down in the patch.

From callofduty.org.
"Hammer of CoDaM (Call of Duty Admin Mod) is claiming to of discovered a way of crashing any CoD server using a clientside command, this is totally unconfirmed by InfinityWard, but Hammer is a well known member of the community, for his work in CoDaM and its predecessor, MaM (Medal of Honour Admin Mod). Hammer's post is here and quoted below;
Anyone know how to send IW a bug report? I've got a client-side command that will crash any server, but don't want to post it here or even PM the IW guys since it's possible that the info could be leaked.
Again, this news is totally circumstanial, based only on Hammer's word and reputation.
Don't panic however, it is very unlikely that Hammer would leak the exploit
If this is true, this could mean a delay in bringing out the patch, as I suspect this means the patch will have to be updated, and be put through testing again. This is not based on any real knowledge of Activision or InfinityWard's testing process, just instinct and the current history of the patch."

Patch next week? This is good news, I hope the patch addresses some of the game issues that have been talked about.

Color me ignorantly happy, but I haven't noticed any problems online... what problems is everyone else having? Or is this single player issues?
I did have some problems with the game locking up on load screens about half way through. Had to reduce graphics settings to fix it.

I've had no problems getting the game to run, it runs fantastic for me. I think it might be more gameplay issues poeple are reffering to like the bunnyhopping and amount of grenades... just little things that might make the game funner to play online. Perhaps the patch will address some of these issues?

Okay, that makes sense. I guess after reading the first post in the thread about getting the game to run I thought there were stability issues or what not...
Got to say that this is the smoothest running online game out of the box I have played yet.

My problems are the same for SP and MP. I start the game begin my mission and 5 seconds later crash. Not a soft crash where I can just Cntrl-Alt-Del my way out I have to power down the computer. I exchanged over 25 emails with tech support to no avial. The thing that sucks about buying a computer game is that your screwed if your comp cant run it. I have tried every single variations of settings that I possible can and tried every Nvidia DET since the Det XP's except for the new ones. I love Wolf much more than CoD and cant play Wolf with those new drivers because it crashes Wolf in the same manner as CoD.
So hopefully the patch will help out for some miraculous reason.

Try running it with the old drivers. The new NVidia drivers kill the graphics on DC. Just a thought. But then my brain isn't working right lately. :(

I have one prob that all lot of the regs are aware of when i run it on my bros machine. My player "locks" up and only goes forward for a sec, then releases and my crosshair changes to the "sandtimer" u'd see on windows. I have NOTHING running, i have double checked everything, even wrote Activision customer service. The funny thing, the games runs fine with that as my crosshair, but it's annoying as hell. I just alt-enter 2x and it's gone.
