Aar, 'tis daemons and spirits.
I've never had that particular problem; I've launched servers that were in my 'Favorites" and ended up somewhere completely different. Same game & mod, though.
Waddaya want for 10 bucks?

If you go to Toos/options
Games tab.
Do all the games show up and with proper location for the EXEs?

yes. it points to bf1942.exe like it should it just won't start a vanilla game.

that happens to me a lot, but it's because when I want to load BF, the CoD cd is in the tray, that's why you see the CoD window graphic pop up instead of the BF.
Also, I have the same problems, but usually it's just on Thunderdome. Tonight especially, I had to use the en game browser. I don't know what the deal is, but usually it's ONLY on Thunderdome that I have this problem with ASE. If I actually get to see thunderdome that is (usually it's marked as a folder with "unscanned" next to it). <shrugs>

I had this problem a week ago. I had to re-install ASE and that fixed it.

if you use the no-cd patch for BF, then you'll not need any cd's to play our fave online games (BF, CoD, ET, RtCW). also having 4 drives allows you to keep a cd or 2 in there for instances like that ;)
