If and when is that conclusion or part III of BG? Nothing on the SciFi Channel site... surely it didn't just END as it did.

That's it. 2 parts. Like the original series, which had a 2 hour premiere, then soon a series followed. If they don't do a series, and soon, I'm gonna be pissed. And I was a bit suprised at the new Imperious Leader.

AHhhh... so, now I am with you. Ready for the series.

Yeah, nothing angered me more than that. I expected more episodes for some reason. I was all ready with my lubriderm and my jack and coke, but nay. I sat in front of SciFi at the prequisite time to no avail. For 3 days until I finally got up and checked the website.
BG Series, Come on Down!

Why not? They already have the Cylons and all of the space craft rendered, I'm sure that although the sets may have been struck, they didn't use them for kindling. Here's to greed making them go for it.

I was pretty sure ahead of time that it was only 2 parts, but after that ending...I had to check the TV guide just to make sure there was not a part 3 I was unaware of!
While I respect that they wanted to lead it into a series, I thought it was a little too abrupt of an ending... hot on the heels of too short of a series such that the some of the characters and plot were very flat.
They tried to play up Baltar as a womanizing ego-trip kind of guy, but they didn't give me enough to make me believe it.
The whole Starbuck-as-a-woman thing was lame--not because he was a she, but because the character had absolutely no depth beyond "I'm such a tough woman, grrrr."
The "tension" betwee Apollo and Adama seemed just... dumb, and I didn't buy it.
The whole Boomer thing... well, I'll leave it unsaid so as not to be a spoiler for anyone, but: lame.
Anyway, I was disappointed, even though I did enjoy seeing BSG with new life. I hope that if they make a series, these actors really get their stride, AND they replace a few (Starbuck AND Apollo!).

Here's the deal.
Sci-fi has an option to make this a series. All the actors and production crew signed a contract saying that Sci-Fi had until Dec 31 to decide to go into production on a series. They'll check the ratings and make a decision.
The second night of the first airing had really excellent ratings, so lots of fans are hoping it will encourage Sci-Fi to OK the series.
I'd like to see it myself.

I would like to see ti turned into a series, with pretty much all the caveats that Batmanuel listed. Though, they can keep the actor playing Apollo if they make the central motivation for him something other than "I hate daddy." The Boomer angle was lame, at best.
Its good to hear that SciFi planned for the possibility and that it got good ratings. That is all that matters in reality - whether they can turn the series into profit. Without profit, there is no reason to pursue the show. Let's go buy something from the sponsors... :)

And hence why they canned Farscape... not enough profit. Bastiges.

Yeah, I'll never forgive them for that. Or TNT for making B5's last season a short one. Inhuman buggers.

FYI - rumour has it that Farscape is coming back, albeit for a limiited time / number of episodes... believe it has yet to be announced officially though

I heard the same thing. Please, dear God, don't let them do to FarScape what happened to BattleStar and Galactica 1980.

It's likely going to be a two or three part mini-series to "wrap up" the series, which Sci-Fi didn't give them a chance to do. As far as I know, Sci-Fi has not agreed to show it yet...
I can only hope that this will be fodder for someone to pick up the series & start distributing it...

I thought that I heard the term "mini series" somewhere. That is why I thought this thing would be wrapping up soon. I actually thought that BG on Sunday night was to be the conclusion...
I thought a 'mini series' would be alot more than one show....I to thought something new was going to be on sunday night.
I want more!
