you don't ever have to open up the torrent program, it opens automatically when you click on a torrent to download.

to find specific, non-anime Star Trek episodes, that gets really hard.

well, your upload/download speed is determined by other people, how many people are seeds (have complete copies and are uploading them) and how many are leeches (those downloading). Depending on the speed of the other people's uploading, and how much you send upstream yourself, is how fast you can download.

make sense? the more Seeds and Leeches there are, the faster your download is. Also, the faster you upload, the faster your download is (depending of which bittorrent client you are using, you can determine what your upload stream is).


This is what I do, I load up my bit torrents before I go to bed and let them run overnight and during the day while i'm at work, every day and night. doing this, i get my stuff relatively quick if there is only a 2 to 3 Kb download speed.

yeah bat, try installing the Experimental Bittorent so you can limit the upload (if you need some bandwith for browsing and such). Other than that, like SK said, the more you upload the more you download.

Wish I can find a site that would have the complete series of Inuyasha 1 to 146 or whatever the end is.

I am using the bittorent mac client... and if i quit, and reopen the .torrent file it checks how much i have already, then starts downloading.

i was lagging hard the other night on RTCW until i realized had it open ;)

yes it does.

a .torrent file is a just a file with numerous bit torrents in it. It's like, if you click on a .torrent file, a folder will be created where you want it to be saved, and more than one file will be downloaded...for example.

you click on www.variousanime#1-5.avi.torrent.

5 episodes will now be downloaded at the same time. it's just a sort of batch.


what sometimes can happen though, is you'll click on the link and it'll save a .torrent.dat or something like that and it'll show up on the directory as a txt doc or something. when that happens, all you do is click on the weird looking txt doc or whatver, and it automatically finds what you had started downloading on the internet for you.

So does something happen at the end to turn these into one big file and that's why it dosn't work? or should I be able to open any one of them?

As I found out tonight, be careful with some of the series you download, they may have files in them that might dink with your comp a bit. Rare though, but if problems suddenly develop with your computer, check out what you have recently downloaded.

How? I'd like to read on that article. Also sometimes when the movies are not displaying properly it's just because of some codecs.

Well...I found links to both, which are on torrentspy...but they are going pretty damn slow. Ill keep downloading in the meantime, but if you have any better links, Id appreciate them.

As for english dub...although I hear a lot of people say it just isnt right...for me at least I really dont like the subtitles - I spend more time reading then I do watching and listening, which, I might add, doesnt help my short attention span.

Thx for the help btw. Also, if you have any ideas on any good shows/movies to download, feel free to say so. Kinda a newbie (NOOOOOOOO!) in this Anime thing and wouldnt mind the opinions.
