I know a few of you have talked highly of a specific a-in-1 remote. What make/model is it?
REALLY getting sick of going over to my friend's house and having to use 50 remotes for TV, stereo, sattelite, VCR, DVD, etc... So I want to get her one for X-mas. Found a great one that's programmable from your PC but I'm not spending $180 on a remote. At least not unless it's for me. :D

That remote looks sick. I think I found my Xmas present to um, my um, wife? Oh yeah, she'll love it.

Sure Sauer, just like that bowling ball Homer gave Marge. You know, the one engraved with his name in it?

I like the simplicity of the buttons....
"watch a movie" "listen to music" etc... lol

Yeah, you can use your PC to set up macros. Say, "watch a movie" would be turn on TV, Turn on stereo, Turn on DVD, hit Play on DVD.
Pretty cool.

This is the one we had talked about:
http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=15-2133
I like it a lot and it's very cool, but it started acting screwey. it took me a few days to realize the batteries were going...once i replaced them, all is well again ;)

I have the JBL TC-1000. It is a touchscreen and programmable remote. I got it as a Christmas present. Damn thing consumes batteries. Read the reviews here: http://www.remotecentral.com/ureview/13-3.htm
I have the black encased one - not the transparent one shown in the review.

It’s kind of heavy, and it goes through batteries about 3 times a year

The Kameleon one I posted is OK on batteries, but it does not lose memory when they die or are taken out. It can also be updated via phone if you are missing codes (haven't done that). Also, it works with Tivo, which is sweet.
