Well isn't that something.
We can put a man on the moon
Have companies that make billions of dollars every year
Shoot missles out of the sky
Clone Sheep

but can't make enough flu shots to help in this epidemic.

(just venting since I have a 1 year old)

I heard they guessed wrong this year anyway, so it probably wouldn't do much good.

Actually they had enough, it's just that the ppl that got sick early caused the news to sensationalize it and ppl panicked and EVERYONE wants a shot now.

Take it from a guy that works in a pharmacy:

Normal flu shot season is October thru beginning of November. Always has been.

Some media dumbasses decided to scare everyone into a flu shot mad rush this year, which would be fine, except they didnt start it until the end of November!

This was too late in the year for any store that had run out of shots already, and most had.

So dont blame your pharmacy, blame the media!

I never get one. Always look forward to a few days off from work.

Hey, let me get a shot of that flu serum that they make out of the flu, because I sure don't want to take a chance on coming into contact with any of that flu bug. :D Anyone else appreciate the irony in flu shots?

You know, when it comes to me, I think the same thing. As a kid, I got allergy shots every week, so while I am not scared of needles, I try to avoid getting the 1000th hole put in my arm.

But when you have kids, and you see 20 have died so early in the flu season, it changes your perspective fast. We called our family pediatrician, and they are all oot. Now we have to wait and see if they can score more, and if they do, can give it to the regs. as well as high risk kids.

What, get a "flu" shot from the government for a disease they created in a lab and unleased upon us? No way! It's all just a conspiracy to inject us all with DNA-altering mind control serum!

There is no such thing as "germs". Have you ever seen a germ? Huh? Huh? No you haven't!

You don't get the flu from "germs" you get the flu from evil spirits and bad humors!

Aughhhhhh!

As far as having all my shots as a kid, got 'em. Getting allergy shots twice a week as an adult; needles don't bother me, they never have. And I make sure my son gets all of his shots. But that kid's got the immune system of Godzilla. Rest assured, though, if he gets sick, he goes to the doctor.

i have been getting allergy shots for 12 years
i have never gotta a flu shot
as i understand it there are two strains of the flu. the a and b strain,. the b strain is the bad one but very rare.

as for kids. when i have them, one i am going to stick in a box and let himout when s/he is 18 and the other i am nto going to discupline at all. wanna see waht happens
:D

though hsnopette is not too hip onthe idea. no idea why.

oh and i am removing thier vocal cords at birth and will return them at 18.

i will also have a pet monkeythat i treat very well.

If you're relatively healthy and moderately young, you will be fine if you get the flu...

Besides, the CDC guessed wrong on the strain this year...
